Artist Terms and Conditions Agreement

Effective date 1st January 2019
Slick Casting Ltd
1. Slick Casting will act as your agent and try to find you work with production companies. We cannot guarantee you work on any production. We are not obliged to contact you with any work opportunities with production companies. You are not obliged to accept any work offered to you.
2. Slick Casting will charge you 15% or 20% commission (plus VAT) depending on the assignment from each job that we provide you with. This will be deducted from each payment received from the production company on your behalf. For Photographic, Commercial, Corporates and Event campaings, Slick Casting will always charge 20% commission (plus VAT).
3. Whilst working as a supporting artiste your employment status will be dependent upon the specific contract with the production company. Nothing in this agreement shall render you an employee of Slick Casting in any way.
4. It is your responsibility to make sure that the bank details, email, phone number and address we have for you are correct. You must inform Slick Casting of any changes that may occur including facial or body appearances for example hair colour, tattoos and piercing.
5. As your agent, it is our responsibility to deal with any problems that may arise when you’re on set. It is your responsibility to contact Slick Casting and not the production company if any problems occur or if you are not happy in any way.
6. Slick Casting is not liable for any loss of or damage to any personal possessions or personal injury when you are on set.
7. Slick Casting will hold a record of the productions you have worked on and the hours you have worked. However it is your responsibility also to remember the name of the production you have been booked on and the hours you have worked.
8. Slick Casting will send you the relevant information for filming in writing by email for the job you are booked for. It is your responsibility to reply to the email that Slick Casting has sent you otherwise it is your responsibility to call one of the Slick Casting team members to notify them that you have received filming details. We reserve the right to replace you if you do not confirm booked details with us straight away. The deadline is 5pm.


9. If you cannot make the booking that you have been booked for, it is your responsibility to notify Slick Casting as soon as possible, giving Slick Casting at least 24 hours notice or you may be liable for a small penalty. If you turn up to a booking that you have been booked for and leave early without agreeing this with the production company or Slick Casting then the production company or Slick Casting have the right not to pay you for the job booked.
10. It is your responsibility to get to any location at the call time you are given and not the responsibility of Slick Casting.
11. On Film and TV sets you will be given a salary voucher at the beginning of each filming day. In order for you to be paid correctly it is your responsibility to keep hold of this and to make sure it is signed at the end of each day by the Assistant Director. The production company may refuse to make payment if this salary voucher has not been received and completed. Where payment is not made by the production company through your negligence or carelessness, Slick Casting reserves the right to charge you a fee of 15% of the value of work.
12. On commercials, photographic, pop promos, corporate videos or any other agreement of work offered to you, you might not receive a salary voucher. It is your responsibility to keep a record of times and dates you have worked. If you fail to sign a release form on the day, we reserve the right to sign it on your behalf, to ensure you get paid. 


FEES
You are required to pay a Listing Administration Fee. Listing Administration Fees are the fees we charge for inclusion of your profile on our client database, website and casting look books, which we distribute and promote to production and advertising companies. Listing Fees are payable solely for inclusion of information about you in our casting look books and websitefor the purposes of seeking work for you as an artist and is paid to our web and design company.
13. Premium Listing Fees are as follows:
You are required to pay a Listing Administration Fee of £24.00 by PayPal or instant transfer.
£24.00 for a period 12 months.
(Our standard money back guarantee period is 30 days. After 30 days your listing is non-refundable)
PLEASE NOTE: After 12 months if you do not renew your Premium Listing, you will be automatically set to the Standard Listing as stated in clause 14 of this agreement.
Slick Casting updates the look book publication once a year, so you must update your profile at least once a year.
Assignments Not Managed by Slick Casting
Artists registered with Slick Casting on the Premium listing will also appear in our website database search for clients to see your profile and video or audio material on our self- service facility system. Clients will also be able to contact you directly when casting using our casting opportunities page. These jobs are assignments that Slick Casting does not manage in house, therefore if you apply for a role using our self service facility then we DO NOT deduct any commission and all they money you made on that job is yours.
14. Standard Listing Fees are as follows:
If you do not choose the Premium Listing as stated in clause 13 of this agreement, you are required to pay an admin fee of £36.00 for a Standard Listing. The fee covers administration costs to have a Standard Listing for 12 months and it is therefore non-refundable. The £36.00 fee will be deducted from your first job we provide you and will renew again after 12 months.
15. You are required to comply with all rules and regulations by the production company. We reserve the right to refuse to give you work, if your behaviour is unacceptable or inappropriate towards Slick Casting or the production company. If you misrepresent Slick Casting in anyway, or if your behaviour is deemed unacceptable towards a member of the Slick Casting team or production staff you will be removed immediately from the casting book.
16. For tax reasons you are considered as self employed and therefore you are responsible for paying your own income tax, national insurance and completing your own annual tax return.
17. By signing this agreement you authorize Slick Casting Ltd to receive payment from the production company on your behalf. By signing this agreement you understand that once Slick Casting has received payments, a deduction of 15% or 20% (plus VAT) commission will be deducted from your pay as stated in clause 2 of this agreement.
18. If for any circumstance you have received payment directly from the production company, Slick Casting has the right to invoice you for any commission owing.
19. By signing this agreement you understand that Slick Casting cannot pay you money into your account until we have received payment from the production company. By signing this agreement you understand that the industry standard is approximately 4-6 weeks from they day that you have worked, but can sometimes take up to 3 months. Payments will be made by BACS directly into your bank account. A remittance will be emailed to you at the address you have given us.
20. By signing this agreement you understand that you are not allowed to take any photographs on any set, or contact any journalist or publication regarding the work you have done on any production. 

21. By signing this agreement you are agreeing that you are not knowingly allergic to any make up or prosthetics.
22. By signing this agreement you are confirming that there are no material facts which you feel ought to be disclosed and could be pertinent to your employment, or likely to cause illness injury or damage to yourself or others.
23. By signing this agreement you are confirming that you are legally entitled to work in the UK and will work for equity and non-equity contracts. 


24. By signing this agreement you are giving Slick Casting consent to keep your personnel details on file and to forward any relevant details onto any productions that require them. 


25. By signing this agreement you give Slick Casting the permission to remove you from the books and website if you have not informed us you would like to register again after 60 months. (5 years)
26. By signing this agreement you are giving Slick Casting consent to publish your photograph and vital statistics in our printed casting book and also on our website and any other Slick Casting promotion material, including any video footage filmed of you by slick casting. Once published these details cannot be changed until the next registration. We will not sell or give your personnel data away other than as provided under these terms and conditions. 


27. By signing this agreement you understand that if you lose your ID card that we provide to you the replacement cost of your ID card will be £10. You must take your ID card with you on all booked jobs that request artist ID cards on set.


28. By signing this agreement you understand either party at immediate effect can terminate this agreement. Termination of contract shall be effective however communicated, provided it is confirmed in writing, giving Slick Casting one weeks notice, which states the day you want to terminate this contract. 


29. You will be required to upload a professional headshot and full length shot on your profile page created on our website. Images must be behind, a white, grey or black background or it must be professionally taken. 


30. You must own the copyright of your photos and you can update your photos at anytime, once you have received a login account from us. 


31. Slick Casting has the right not to publish your photos if they do not reach our expectations and guidelines. 


32. If you do not have a recent headshot and full length shot behind a white background for our casting book then we can arrange for this to be done for you, by our in-house photographer however there will be a small charge for this service. 

33. You are required to meet us to complete your registration with Slick Casting on a scheduled registration day in order for us to put your forward for featured and commercial roles.
Privacy Policy.
At SLICK CASTING we have a firm commitment to industry policy, legislation and good practice and we recognise that personal privacy is an important issue. We will only retain and use your personnel information to administer your profile and provide the products and services requested from and expected of us. Personal information is neither captured nor stored through this website without prior content of users when agreeing to our terms and conditions when joining our website. As a registered member on our website, in order to fulfill our purpose we will need to pass certain details (including personnel, photographic and financial data) onto other parties such as clients, producers, production companies and their associates. We will also need to contact you via text message, email and post for the purpose of bookings, updates, our photo service products, financial administration and other day-to-day resource management. We may also collect information that you choose to provide to us when communicating with us. For example – your CV for acting purposes, passport and DBS. We will not sell, license or trade your personnel information to others. We do not provide your personnel information to other organisations.
In addition, some parts of the website require authentication with the use of cookies for security purposes. These cookies are not used to capture or store personnel information for any purpose other than to authenticate the user, and are deleted as soon as a session is terminated. Information about the pages visited is stored for statistical analysis purposes, but individual usage is not monitored. Our website and other communications may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of others. The personal data that you provide through these websites is not subject to this privacy notice and the treatment of personal data by such websites cannot be our responsibility.
